2014A Review of Hope House Inc.
The Hope House is an amazing organization located in Fort Wayne, Indiana that provides a residential transitional living facility for homeless women eighteen and older struggling with a substance use disorder. A small group of women established the Hope House in 1981 and through the years they’ve expanded. Their remarkable program today consists of a second transitional residence called Martha’s Place and they continue to save women’s lives.
The Hope House utilizes a 12-Step recovery program and consists of a 6 to 9 month stay in which female residents eventually pay rent. Women residents have the opportunity to achieve a successful recovery and completely improve their lives because of the exceptional supportive services the Hope House program offers.
During their stay at The Hope House, women are surrounded with enormous encouragement and positive support daily. They obtain the personal help and skills they need to achieve and maintain a job so they can be self-sufficient and successfully take care of themselves so their self-esteem alone is greatly improved.
The Hope House in Fort Wayne, Indiana is truly a remarkable program that gives chemically dependent homeless women the chance they need to completely turn their entire life around.
